ABOUT THASSOS
Thassos is not just swimming, beautiful beaches and sunshine but also pine forests and green mountains. Smell the pine resin, listen to the singing birds and noisy cicadas. Enjoy the sunrise from a top of a mountain (Ypsarion). Tours are available including barbecuing.

FOOD
Taste and smell the Greek food. There are several restaurants that sell fish and other cooked and grilled dishes. The summer sun makes ingredients smell and taste better. Goat on the spit is also a favourite.
Try local Ouzo and wine. It is a must.
Local olive oil and honey is also something you can take back with you. The quality is excellent!
Cook something in your own kitchen or grill on the barbecue. Ask us for advice. We can always help you.

LOCAL ACTIVITIES
Try scuba diving, surfing, water-skiing and many other summer sports at Pefkari beach. You can also rent a boat, go fishing or sailing. Day Tours on a boat to various beaches is also a good option.
If you come in June or September cycling around the island is also an enjoyable activity.
Don't miss the ancient Greek sites in Alykes, the museum and other site like the ancient Agora and theatre in Limenas, the capital of the island.
If you happen to be around at that time visit different festivals like the Honey Festival in August, Tsipouro production in September, Traditional Wedding in Theologos at the end of August and the horse-riding experience also in Theologos.
If you drive down to us try the mud spa on your way outside Kavala, visit Phillipi and Kavala town.
